Ashley Tisdale: LG National Texting Championship!

Ashley Tisdale presents a trophy to Austin Wierschke at the 2011 LG U.S National Texting Championship on Wednesday (October 26) in New York City.

Austin, 16, out-texted 12 other contestants during the competition where all had to text accurately on LGs unreleased DoublePlay Android phone. The new phone features a split keyboard and two screens.

Austin took home a $50,000 prize, which he intends to use toward a college degree in architecture.

Ashley, 26, tweeted after the comp, congrats to Austin Wierschke the new @lgtexter texting champ! So nice to meeting all of you!
